Personal

Married to Patricia Bland June 20, 1981. The  father of one son Edward Bland.

Pastoral Work

In September 1995, Reverend Edward Bland became the pastor of The Friendship M. B. Church of Dundee Florida.

With a vision for church growth and a determination to please God and do God’s will.

God has and still is blessing the Friendship Church Family. The church is growing in every area spiritually, numerically and financially. Pastor Bland implemented an aggressive teaching ministry design to mature the Body of Christ. Also numerous ministries were put in place to meet the needs of the whole congregation. In August of 2000, Pastor Bland led the Friendship Church into a new sanctuary. Doubling the seating capacity of the old building. Along with the new sanctuary the church also purchase three additional pieces of properties. And God has continued to add to the church.

In the year 2001, Under Pastor Bland’s leadership, the old church was remodeled and converted into an educational wing consisting of seven classrooms total. To accommodate the teaching ministry which has enjoyed tremendous growth, the building was dedicated to the late Reverend Remer Baker, Sr. who served 44 years as pastor.

Pastor Bland, by the grace of God has accomplished much during his pastoral tenure at the Friendship M.B. Church.

Pastor Bland achieved his Master’s degree in Theology from Emmaus Baptist Colleges in Brandon, Fl.  Pastor Bland received the Bachelors of Theology degree from the Florida Baptist College of Brandon Florida He also is a graduate of Mary Holmes College of West Point, Mississippi where he received an associate degree in Computer Science.

He serves as the President of Congress #4 of the Mount Pilgrim Association.

He serves as the Dean of the Mount Pilgrim Association. He recently served as dean of the Progressive M&E Baptist State Convention Youth and Children.

He serves as vice Chairman of the Orthodox Committee of the Mount Pilgrim M. B. Association.

Presently serves as the Director of the youth and children of the Progressive M&E Baptist State Convention.
